Cold winter keeps abortion numbers down outside the Abortion Clinic in Lincoln – Helpers of God’s Precious Infants Update – March 17, 2019

After the record number of abortion clients on January 29, the snowy and bitter cold weeks that followed saw declines in abortion clients at Lincoln Planned Parenthood. The doctor didn’t show up the next week, February 5, and there were no abortions that day. The numbers were down for the next month, but still were around the usual averages of 5 to 8 clients by 11 a.m.
The doctor arrived late, from 9:30 to 9:40 through the first two weeks of March. Last week, March 11, with an end to the bitter cold (just light mist and drizzle), the number of abortion clients increased to 10 or 11.
The temperatures until last week were mostly bitter cold, with early morning low wind chills of zero to minus 15 degrees F. While the snow of January didn’t deter people from coming to pray, the snow and lingering bitter cold through February also reduced the number of Helpers. Three of our morning sidewalk counsellors were injured with falls on the ice. One had a fractured arm, another a cracked hip and the third a sprained wrist. Please pray for the recovery and heath of Linda, Joann and Carmen.
While those three ladies were out of commission during most of this time, four stalwart men anchored the Helpers prayers, for one-to three-hour stints during the early morning hours from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. A couple of cold mornings, some of the Kathies showed up at different times to pray half an hour to an hour. (For those who haven’t heard this before, we have more women named Kathy who are Helpers than people of any other name by far.)
The regular counselors and Helpers for the remaining times on abortion days were able to make it all those days. But few other people showed up, where usually a few individuals will show up to pray, scattered throughout the late morning and early afternoon. The number of people for the 9:30 rosary group was down to half its normal size. On two of those bitter cold days, we were thankful to have the small groups who come once a month from Auburn and David City – both about 60 miles away.

Continue to pray for those women who show up at the abortion clinic, that they may choose LIFE for their unborn children!!
